What an insane week it has been
I’m sitting in a studio trying to recap all the incredible and funny moments we’ve experienced and too much is coming to mind.
Time passes differently in Park City during Sundance, what seems to be a matter of weeks is merely a number of a days. Days filled with seeing films, shows, bustling through the snow to another gig, writing sessions, skiing and boarding down a mountain and plenty of nights in the hot tub.
We played a number of shows during our time at Sundance ranging from acoustic sets in a brand lounge or ski loft, to full band energetic sets to crowds of people. We were thankful to be invited back to The Spur at the Access Film Music Showcase playing with some amazing artists such as Walking Man and Jeff Carl, both incredibly talented acts from Nashville.
My favourite show we played by far would be in a small town called Provo just south of Salt Lake City full of college students. We were supporting an amazingly talented local band called The Strike, it was sold out and the energy was insane.
By the time we arrived to load in there was already a line out the door and down the block full of kids excited for the night.
The venue was a deep red with hanging drapes, dim mood lighting and filled with an eclectic array of 60’s and 70’s decor.
From the moment we stepped on stage the crowd were loving it and with every song the good vibes were growing.
We broke down the set halfway through to play an acoustic rendition of Hallelujah that the audience was singing louder than we were.
And by the last song it was just one big party, everyone was dancing and we were having an absolute blast on stage!
We are so excited to bring this new music and live performance back to Australia.
We will be kicking off a mini tour with Masketta Fall in February and passing through Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney. You can buy tickets here.
